Hello and welcome to episode 26 of grounded in stillness.
This meditation feels appropriate considering the time I have been away from this podcast, which I have greatly missed and I am very pleased to be back.
Those moments in life when you just wish you could reset.
This can happen any time of year and any day of the week. Not just at the end of a year or beginning of another.
This meditation will allow your body and mind the opportunity to pause, visualise resetting and then return you back to your day.
Almost like a mini off switch for your mind and body.
I hope you enjoy.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position to relax in.
Adjust your shoulders, adjust your hips and allow your eyes to slowly close or hold a soft gaze.
Bring your attention to your breath, breathe in and breathe out.
Feeling the chest slowly rise on the in breath and slowly fall on the out breath.
Give yourself permission to focus on your breath, allowing all other thoughts to simply melt away.
Allowing your arms and legs to feel heavy, your torso to feel heavy.
Even allowing your jaw to relax.
Enjoy the time with each breath today.
Breathing in and breathing out.
As you begin to relax your breath becomes softer and slower, as the mind clears the body slows.
Breathing in and breathing out.
As the mind slows and brings stillness, the body too connects to the stillness.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Then you begin to imagine you have an internal switch that you turned to ‘off’. Allowing the mind to slow even more and your body to fall deeper and deeper into relaxation.
When your internal switch is ‘off’ the only function your mind and body connects with is your breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow yourself time with each breath.
As if each breath in and out is recalibrating your body.
Breathing in fresh air and oxygenating your lungs to support your bodies functions.
Breathing out thoughts, feelings and any body tension which takes away from your body resting, repairing and resetting.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Enjoying each breath, enjoying each moment.
Living with each breath, living in each moment.
The time we spend in this relaxed state and our internal switch ‘off’ gives us the feeling of resetting.
The feeling of reconnecting with ourself.
Enjoy these moments in your personal reset.
Simply breathing in and breathing out.
Gently take one more deep breath in and as you breathe out, gently turn your internal switch back on.
Slowly wiggling your fingers and your toes, as your body turns back on and your mind slowly reconnects.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm while your eyes remain closed or in a soft gaze for a few breaths.
You can return to this meditation any time you wish, for your personal reset in your day or your week.
Slowly open your eyes and thank you for listening.
