Hello and welcome to part 10 of mindfulness @ Christmas.
Christmas is a time of year when we get very busy. So busy sometimes we forget to make plans with people who we really should spend time with.
Today we are going to be mindful about the people we should connect with more often. One small message to connect with someone might turn out to be the most positive thing about their day.
So take a moment to get comfortable and think about the people we will connect with today.

Close your eyes softly, allow your body to relax.
Become aware of your breath. How deeply and slowly you breath. Notice how you begin to connect to your breath.
The stillness that surrounds you to allow you to focus on you and only you.
Enjoy a moment to calm your body and mind.
Begin to think about the people who you value in your life. The people you connect with day to day. How you enjoy connecting with them on a daily basis. How you look forward to receiving messages or calls from those people.
How connecting with those people make you feel happy.
Now bring you attention to someone you connect with on a less frequent basis, but that you would enjoy speaking to and seeing more regularly.
Think how you enjoy that persons company, how you value having this person in your life.
How nice it would be to send them a short message to say hi and start a conversation. Who knows where the conversation will lead.
Sometimes it is nice to message people to ask how they are. It is nice to know someone is thinking of you, that they have not got caught up in this busy world.
Be that person today who connects with someone. Let them know you are not too busy to connect.
Christmas is a time of giving, one thing that is so precious to give is your time.
So take a moment to think about the person you wish to connect with today. Who is this person you value to give your time too. Notice how thinking of this person makes you feel. Happy, positive, curious to see how they are doing and what might have changed since you last spoke.
Take one more nice deep breath in and out.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes, softly open your eyes.
Enjoy connecting today. You never know how much your connection will be appreciated.
