Hello and welcome to part 23 of mindfulness @ Christmas.
December is a busy month of getting things organised for Christmas.
Shopping, wrapping, delivering gifts to people you will not be seeing on Christmas day. Seeing friends before they travel home for Christmas.
Keeping gifts hidden from the nosey people at home (we all have one in the family who likes to try and find their gifts and guess it before the big day!)
However how many gifts did you get for yourself?
We spend our lives beings so helpful and considerate of others, when do we remember to look after ourselves.
Today is the gift of self care, for you to take time and do something you want to do.
Enjoy todays full body relaxation, to prepare you for the last day before Christmas.
***Music starts***
Adjust your shoulders, your hips, gently close your eyes.
Breathe in deeply and breathe out deeply.
Focus on the deepness of your breath, how deeply you breathe in, how deeply you breathe out.

Bring your attention to the top of your head, breathe in and as you breathe out, let go of tension from the top of your head.
Bring your attention to your forehead, as you breathe out let go of tension and feel your forehead soften.
Bring your attention to your eyes, as your breathe out and let go, feel how your eye lids soften and tension release.

Bring your attention to your face as a whole, as you breathe out, let go of any tension you are still holding in your face, let every small muscle relax.
Bring your attention to your neck, as your breathe out encourage the neck to relax for you.

Bring your attention to your back, your entire back. Breathe in and be aware of how your back feels, any tight patches from tension. As you breathe out, allow your body to feel heavy, encourage the muscles of your back to let go, notice how your back begins to feel heavy as your body relaxes more for you.
Bring your attention to your hips and bottom, as you breathe out let the hips feel heavy, relax the muscles in your bottom more. Notice how they become softer for you, letting go of tension.

Bring your attention to the lower part of your legs, do you notice your calfs release as you breath out, how the shins begin to relax as the calfs relax. How your legs now feel heavy and impossible to move. Enjoy as your body begins to relax deeper for you.
Then finally bring your attention to your feet, breathe out and let the soles of your feet release. You may even notice your feet begin to feel bigger as the muscles relax for you.
As you breathe in, notice how your entire body now feels, from the top of your head down to your toes. As you breathe out allow every muscle in your body to relax more.
Feel how heavy your body feels on each out breath. Enjoy this feeling of full body relaxation for a few breaths.
Notice how nice it feels to give yourself the gift of self care.
Enjoy how relaxed you feel today.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm, gently wiggle your fingers and your toes. When you are ready softly open your eyes.
Thank you for listening.
