Podcast script: Jump

Music credit: Aube – REMY BOURGEOIS

Hello and welcome to episode 10 of grounded in stillness.

2019 is well and truly upon us. We have made resolutions or promises to ourselves to make changes for the better.

However what will you do when opportunities come up which you had not planned for this year.

Will you be willing to take the jump?

Todays relaxation is going to encourage you to be brave, to jump when an opportunity comes up that feels right.

So make yourself comfortable, its time to switch off and ground you in stillness.

***Music starts***

Adjust your shoulders, your hips.

Softly close your eyes.

Breathe in deeply and breathe out deeply.

Notice your chest gently rise and fall.

Allow your arms and legs to feel heavy, let your eye lids soften.

Let the slowness of your breath, calm the body.

Imagine you are sitting by a pond, you feel the soft grass beneath you.

You notice the lily pads, the gentle movement of the water, you might even see little fish swimming in the pond.

Then your eye gaze becomes focused on one lily pad in particular, you notice a little green frog, gently resting on the lily pad.

His skin glinting in the sunlight.

You begin to notice him moving his little feet, as he rests on the edge of the lily pad, you can see he is thinking about taking that jump into the pond.

As you watch you feel yourself encouraging the little frog to make that leap, to trust everything will be ok if he just takes the chance and jumps.

Then you take a moment and wonder, these feelings of encouragement and positivity I have for this little frog to jump, could I have those feeling for myself when an opportunity comes up that I should take.

As you decide to be positive and encourage yourself, you see the little frog take the jump and disappear into the pond.

You smile and enjoy a few deep breaths.

2019 can be anything you wish, anytime you feel worried or nervous about taking a chance, remember the little frog on the lily pad.

Take one more deep breath in and deep breath out. Let your breath return to its natural rhythm, gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Softly open your eyes.

Thank you for listening.
