Hello and welcome to episode 13 of grounded in stillness.
Earth, we live on a planet with this name. Yet how often do we get the chance to connect to it.
To allow ourselves to grow just like plants and trees do.
Today we are going to take the time to connect to the earth around us, to no longer live on the planet but to live with it.
So find yourself a comfortable position to relax in, be this sitting or laying, the choice is yours.
Adjust your shoulders, adjust your hips.
Softly close your eyes.
Slowly become aware of your breath.
Notice your chest gently rise and fall.
Become aware of how your body connects to the surface beneath you.
How your head rests, how your shoulders rest, how your back and hips rest, how your legs, feet and arms rest.
As you become aware of how you connect to the surface beneath you, give yourself permission to relax deeper into this surface.
Allow this surface to support you fully, to let go.
The surface you are resting on is connected to the ground beneath you.
The earth deep beneath you.
Breathe deeply and allow yourself to relax deeper into the earth.
Slowly become aware of the points of your body which connect most to the surface below you.
The back of your head, shoulders, hips, feet.
Notice the gentle pressure created at these points as you begin to relax more.
From these pressure points, imagine you root yourself to the ground.
Like a tree your roots connect you to the earth.
To allow you to unlock the energy within.
Be completely aware of the points of your body that ground you in place.
Connecting you to the earth.
As you breathe in, draw energy from the earth, just like the earth gives energy to plants and trees.
You too can benefit from connecting to the earth.
As you breathe out, let go of tiredness, doubts, fears, back into the earth.
The earth will draw these thoughts right into its core and destroy anything that does not benefit you.
Enjoy being connected to the earth.
How close to the ground you feel.
How still you feel.
Just like a tree with its roots firmly in place.
Be present with your breath, connected to the planet.
The space you have created for yourself to tune yourself to the world.
Enjoy this time to connect deeply.
Take one more deep breath in and enjoy the connection to the earth, breathe out and allow your body to feel heavy.
Slowly become aware of the surface your body rests on.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Slowly open your eyes.
