Hello and welcome to episode 22 of grounded in stillness.
We are lucky enough to see stars on a clear nights sky. However when was the last time you took a moment to observe the stars. The stillness they hold in the sky as the world gently rotates.
This relaxation focuses on stars to gently relax your body and mind. Providing you that short time away from the busy world we live in.
So find yourself a comfortable position to relax in, sitting or laying the choice is yours.
***Music starts***
Adjust your shoulders, adjust your hips.
Allow your entire body to feel heavy in place.
Become aware of your in breath, become aware of your out breath.
Observe how deeply you breathe in, how deeply you breathe out.
Just breathe.
Now being to imagine you are laying outside on a comfortable blanket.
Looking up at a clear nights sky.
Filled with stars.
Some close together.
Some far apart.
Some shining brighter than others.
Enjoy a few moments observing the stars.
Then you begin to notice something happening as you breathe.
When you breathe in, you notice a few stars begin to shine brighter. Then as you breathe out and let go of a thought or a worry. Those stars which were shining brighter, slowly fade away into the night sky and disappear.
Breathe in and feel your attention drawn to those few stars that now shine brighter, breathe out and let go of tensions, worries or thoughts you no longer need. Noticing the stars gently fading with your out breath.
With each out breath you observe as stars slowly fade from the sky, one by one.
As you observe yourself letting go of those thoughts, tensions and worries.
Breathe in, breathe out and let go.
With each out breath, you watch the stars fade as you let go. You notice your body relax deeper and deeper.
You then begin to notice the sky is now clear of stars.
The dark emptiness of the night sky. Which brings a sense of calmness to your body.
Observe the clear night sky, the opportunity for your body and mind to relax completely.
To just breathe and be still.
On your next out breath you allow the image of the nights sky to fade from your mind.
Slowly becoming aware of how your body rests in place.
Now becoming aware of the slowness of the mind.
Gently take one more deep breath in, deep breath out.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Slowly wiggle your fingers and your toes.
When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.
Thank you for listening.
