Podcast script: Out

Music credit: Aube – REMY BOURGEOIS

Hello and welcome to episode 24 of grounded in stillness.

Being able to let thoughts and feelings out can sometimes be challenging and when we hold on to thoughts and feelings, we can begin to feel trapped or generally uncomfortable.

Do you notice how if feels to breathe out to simply let your breath out? I wonder if during todays relaxation you can allow yourself to just let thoughts and feelings out. For a few moments to give you back the stillness and space in your body and mind.

Because sometimes all we need is to let things out.

So find yourself a comfortable position, sitting or laying the choice is yours.

***Music starts***

Adjust your shoulders, adjust your hips.

Allow your body to feel heavy in place.

Eye lids to softly close, jaw to relax.

Breathe in deeply, breathe out deeply.

Feel the chest rise and fall as you breathe.

Just breathe.

Begin to focus on the out breath.

How the out breath is longer than the in breath.

How the out breath feels heavy.

Breathe in, breathe out.

With each out breath, let something out.

Breathe in, breathe out and let out a thought.

Breathe in, breathe out and let out tension from the body.

Breathe in, breathe out and let out a worry.

Breathe in, breathe out and let out a fear.

Breathe and let anything out.

Anything you wish to have a few minutes of stillness from.

Breathe out to create space throughout your entire body and your mind.

Enjoy the opportunity to breathe and let things out.

Gently take one more deep breath in, deep breath out.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Slowly open your eyes when you are ready.

Thank you for listening.
